Basic Nap Sauce

How It's done:


1 tablespoon olive or coconut oil
2 cloves fresh garlic, peeled and crushed
Medium white onion, peeled and chopped
2 cans of crushed organic tomatoes, drained
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon chilli powder or rock salt and cracked
Black pepper to taste


Heat olive or coconut oil in a large pan. Add onion and cook for approximately 3 minutes or until the onion becomes translucent. Add garlic and cook for a further 2 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients and cook at a simmer (do not cover) for approximately 30-40 minutes. Use a stick blender or place sauce into a food processor and blend until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper and separate into small containers before freezing.
